Day #5: A Favorite Quote (All Time Fav.)

"My memory is nearly gone; but I remember two things; That I am a great sinner, and that Christ is a great Saviour."

- John Newton

"As many were astonished at you---- His appearance was so marred, beyond human semblance, and his form beyond that of the children of mankind....."  (Isaiah 52:14)

That picture does not even begin to express the magnitude of Christ's sufferings as seen in verse 14 of Isaiah 52.  Stare at that picture and ponder deeply the heinousness of our sin in light of the cross.  Take a moment to remember what Christ did for you and magnify the torture of the above picture by an infinite number of times (not just physically; emotionally and spiritually as well).  Then, make a mental notion to review this one great Truth throughout this day, and each and every day.  Love Him, Adore Him, Worship Him, Exalt Him, Extol Him, Magnify Him, Glory in Him Alone.  He is Worthy!!!!!

I will finish with this verse.  Revelation 5:6 says, "And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing, looking as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth."

Wow great reminder!

Question for you: Would you be interested in doing a guest post on my blog about the importance of modesty for young ladies? I think it's a really important topic that isn't talked about enough, and it'd be great to get a guy's point of view if you're comfortable with that. All I would ask is that you keep it PG because I have some younger readers. ;) Please don't feel obligated. I know things are crazy with school and all. I'm thinking it'd be a great post for say... sometime in February?

Bleah,
Same here. I do not have them all over my room, but I am incessantly inspired by quotes. Thanks for the comment. :)

May,
Yeah, I would love too. I am not in school at the moment, because my semester begins on the 24th of January. That means I could start working on it now. :) Also, what do you mean by PG? Like, do you mean not to refer to overly, flowery sexual language in regards to modesty?

Anyways, I think it would be a good opportunity. Girls desperately need to hear a guy's perspective on the matter. It may wake some of them up. :)

Perfect! That would be so awesome if you'd do that. Just let me know when you're done with the post.
And, good heavens, yes that's exactly what I mean. None of that. =]

Some questions that could be covered are:
-What is modesty?
-Why is it important?
-Can girls dress modestly but still dress in an attractive way?
-If you had one thing to say to young ladies in regards to modesty, what would it be?

You get the idea. Thanks a bunch!!
