Day #3: A Favorite Book

This one is a no brainer as well.  What is the song we used to sing in kids church?  The B-I-B-L-E.  Yes, that's the book for me.  I stand alone on the Word of God.  The B-I-B-L-E........... BIBLE!!!!!!  Seriously, the Bible stands alone as the greatest book ever written (far above any book man could ever pen).  The author is God Himself, and He teaches us everything we need to know about how to live life in this book.  It is the best counseling manual, the greatest history book, the most scientific science book, and it is a premier theological masterpiece.  It begins as a science book would begin, the creation of the universe.  "In the beginning, God created the heavens and earth."  This creation leads up to the ultimate drama scene ever, when Adam and Eve are seduced by the serpent.  Next, the historical end begins to unfold as God promises Israel a redeemer, one who will save His people from their sins.  By the time we switch Testaments and God's ultimate plan is about to unfold, hundreds of years pass by as kings come and go, prophets are sent and restrained, and the people of Israel love God and serve other gods.  

Then, as unexpectedly as can be, the Savior of the world is born in a lowly manger's crib in a relatively cool cave.  "God with us" Immanuel has come down from heaven.  This baby grows into a remarkable man completely and wholly filled with the Holy Spirit.  He begins his ministry talking and eating with sinners showing them the way to eternal life.  Showing compassion, love, and jealousy everywhere he journeyed too.  Then, he submitted to His Father's will as He died a terrible death in order to save guilty sinners from God's righteous holy anger.  Once dead, he did not remain dead as God the Father raised Him from the dead in order to show His power over death.  The NT continues on with the likes of Christ's disciples as they go out unto all the world and preach the one Truth that truly captivated them.  In John's vision on the book of Revelation, God tells him what is to come in the future.  The future eternal reign of Christ and the future eternal judgment of the devil and his angels.  Christ is coming back rather soon.  Surely I am coming soon.  Come, Lord Jesus.  Amen.  The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.  Amen.  Definitely, most definitely, without question, the greatest book ever to reach the hands of mankind.  Thank you Lord!
