News On the Mission Front

I just received a call from the India lead team today.  Yes, I applied for a missions trip to India.  But, once I heard the news on if I made the team or not, my heart literally sank two feet.  You probably know what happened.  God has a different plan for me on the week of December 26th to January 8th and all I have to do is trust Him with my whole heart in that He knows what is best for me.  It was not easy hearing the news, but a life lesson can be wrought out of all this.  One of my family friends gave me much needed encouragement in a time like this.  He said, "Josh, be patient.  God will used you in a mighty way."  I definitely needed that and God knew it.  God is telling me to wait on Him to direct my life.  Thanks Randy for that seed of encouragement.

Now, my next post on the seven cries will be tomorrow, so stay tuned.  I know I mentioned that I would post every Sunday, but today has been a rather difficult day.  In that case, a full post on one of the cries from the cross will infiltrate through to your blogging dashboard tomorrow.

Sola Deo Gloria!!!!!

Joshua,

I've been praying for both you and Rachel about the mission's trip to India. When praying I had to give it over to God with confidence that He would be working out His perfect plan for you, no matter what happened.

God will indeed use you for His kingdom. You have a love, passion and desire for God, for the lost and for your brothers and sisters in Christ to have a solid walk with the Lord.

Even though you are much younger than me, I learn from you and admire your faith.

Blessings dear brother! Susan

Joshua,
I know that the news must have been difficult to hear... but if it helps any, I want you to know that you have been a HUGE encouragement to me. I often have a hard time trusting that God has a better plan when I am dissapointed with something. In fact, I went through something pretty big recently... So, to hear you being faithful and just waiting for God has planned is very uplifting.
I will be praying that God will give you the direction for wherever you are supposed to go next.

God bless you, Joshua.

In Christ's Service,
Sarah

Joshua,
I know what it is like to not understand the outcome of a situation. For me, these are the times when I learn to trust more fully...yes, sometimes there is pain, but God is bigger than all of it...never take your eyes off the Savior because He has an AMAZING plan.

Stand steadfast!
Love you brother,
Joshua
