Time Flies Virtually When Significant Events Take Maximum Precedence Over Blogging

.......................... which practically means I took a blogging hiatus without updating you on why I entered into a state of internet neutrality for the past month.  But, now I am back and will update you on my life thus far.  I finished the spring semester of school at SCC a few days ago (have been studying to no end before school officially ended on the 19th of May).  I am also going to take a year off of school (finished my general ed.), because I am going to save up some money in order that I could attend Bible College in the Fall of 2012.  I am definitely very stoked about the prospects of hopefully attending Bible College, but I am more excited about this year ahead of me.  This year, from this May until next May, my only prayer is that I grow by leaps and bounds in the knowledge of God for what God has prepared for me in the years ahead.  I desire to grow in wisdom, diligence, and prayer.  But, most of all, I want to be obedient in the small things.  I heard it once said that if God sees you faithful in the small things whether it be praying for some person in need or encouraging another in conflict, God will provide you with greater missions to display His glory to the nations.  Why?  Because you were proven faithful in the small things.  God can then trust you to be a mighty Warrior in greater missions when fierce opposition stands in your way, since He knows you won't bend to the status quo (what the culture stands for).  Therefore, be faithful when that still small voice urges you to pray for that person down the street.  You will be glad you did in the long run.

And, don't get me wrong.  I am not perfect and am still learning.  However, there is no process to being faithful in the small things.  The answer is to just do it.  I am just so stubborn sometimes that I really want to run away when God places these small opportunities in my path, which is horrible in itself.  So, I am in the same boat.  However, slowly but surely I am moving out of the stubborn stance of stonewall Joshua into a freer stance of walking steadily Joshua.  Example:  Today, at church, God was telling me I needed to give a verse to some guy sitting in front of me.  And, my first contemplating thought was God, you have got to be kidding.  He really would not seem that interested if I give him this verse.... yada yada yada.............  My mind was running at a nonstop pace trying to give God reasons why I will not give Psalm 40:1-3, as it turned out, to this guy.  But, then I remembered about what being faithful in the small things would possibly bring and I also figured I would regret it later.  So, to make a long story short, I wrote the verse down on a piece of paper and gave it to him.  As it turned out, the guy, an Englishman, was a member of the church of the visiting pastor, who preached at our church today.  He also was a prayer warrior and he graciously prayed for me.  So, I would have missed out on prayer if I had not given Psalm 40:1-3 to this guy.  God has a remarkable sense of waking people up, especially me, to see what obedience to Him can possibly bring.  Things like what I experienced today will not happen every time, but God knows what we need even when we don't know it.  So, my advice is to trust Him and be obedient.  You will be astounded to fully experience everything, little by little, of what God has in store for you.  Just as I was amazed today.

So, that is what has been happening in my life lately.  Some things fairly eye-opening and others simply normal.  In the near future, I am hoping to finish series I have started.  No, I am not hoping...... they will be accomplished.  This summer, I will work my way through Titus as promised and work my way through other posts.  Also, sorry I have not been reading your blogs (the people I follow) as of late.  I will catch up from where I left off in April sometime and comment on a few past posts.  May God be glorified as each of us continue to serve Him through being faithful in the small things.

Sola Deo Gloria!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Joshua,
Thanks so very much for posting that. It was so encouraging! I praise God that He is working in your life the way He is; seeing Him shining through you the way He does is VERY encouraging, and it inspires me in my own daily walk with Him.
God bless and keep you,
SammyJo

Congrats to you for finishing another year of college! And that is so very exciting that you will be studying at Bible college! What a thrilling endeavor and great new adventure. :) I am studying at a Bible college too so I know how spendy they are. O.O It is good that you are working to save some money to go there! Oh actually I have friends going to college in Cali. They are going to Azusa Pacific actually.
Anyways, as per your other comments, thank you for the graduation well-wishes! It is marvelous to be done. :)
Also, I almost fell over in shock that you knew who Anne was much less that you knew she married Gilbert. But then I remember that you are blessed to have a sister to educate you on such important matters. In the books, though, Gilbert is not a very strong lead male character. Others have attributed this to Montgomery's poor descriptions of men in her books unlike say, Mr. Darcy in Austen's Pride and Prejudice. A dreadful occurance, of course, because Gilbert had the potential to be something very grand
as he was in the movies.
And AHEM, let's keep the joke-telling to the professionals, shall we? As in me. Heh heh. :D Hmmmm, such a pity that no one understands my most brilliant sense of humor. Including my friends. Of course, most people didn't understand the brilliance of Jane Austen until after she was dead either.
Oh dear. Perhaps I should get new friends.....

I just wanted to let you know how much of an encouragement you are to me. I love seeing Christ shine forth through all of your writings, and it is such a blessing. Also, thank you so, so much for your comment you left the other day. God is teaching me so much and your comment was a true blessing. May He continue to richly bless you as you continue to seek Him in all things.

In Christ,
