Would You Deny Christ if.........?

Would you deny Christ if.....................

someone slowly and stealthily stalked you and pulled out a knife.  With that knife, he slipped it under your throat, and asked, "Do you believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord?  If you do, I will cut your throat."

What would you do?

Remember our brothers and sisters, who are being persecuted throughout the world, and pray for them.

Great question. Many times have I pondered "what would I do if..." Left to my own strength, I would most likely buckle under, but I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. If we are ever in that situation, we must look to Him for strength because we know He will never leave us of forsake us. Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving your kind comment. I checked out your blog and I think it is awesome. I also am following you. God bless.

Oh, it makes me shudder to think of that happening, but I pray to God that I will have the strength- that He will give me the strength- to stand up and die for Him!

This is a scary topic for me to even think about. I could say the good Christian thing and say, "Never." Of course I hope that. I hope that I will never deny Christ's name.

But what if I did deny? I've never been in that situation, so I couldn't tell you one way or another how I would respond. I can tell you now while I'm cool-headed and collected that I would stand firm for Christ and die a martyr's death, but I don't know how I'd respond. I love Jesus, and He knows it. I guess I can only pray that I would be cool-headed enough to be faithful if I ever encountered that situation.

Revelation 12:11

And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.

Ken,
I was glad I visited your blog. It is very encouraging. Thanks for following and God bless you as well.

Sarah,
Yeah, it does make you shudder, but it may happen. Hopefully, we do not have to go through that. :)

Camden,
I agree it is a scary topic. Let's pray that God gives us the strength to die a martyr's death for Him if it ever happens. He will definitely strengthen us in our time of need. :)
