LOTR's tag

I was tagged by JT on a very interesting topic. The LOTR's trilogy is, in my opinion, the best set of movies ever created and the best fantasy books ever written. The Chronicles of Narnia is #2. J.R.R. Tolkien is one of the best authors to step foot on this planet and his world famous trilogy the LOTR's proves it. I will not go into great detail about the life of J.R.R. Tolkien, but he clearly emphasized biblical themes throughout the LOTR's trilogy series. Biblical themes is what makes a fantasy literary series, in my mind, the greatest of all time. Now, on with the tag, about the LOTR's.

Are you a LOTR fanatic?
It depends on what you mean by a fanatic. Am I a die-hard LOTR's fan - I live, sleep, eat and breath LOTR's? Certainly not. Do I love the LOTR's - have watched the movies more than three times, know many facts about the characters and middle earth, and greatly enjoy the books and movies. Yes, of course.

VS

Elves vs. Humans
Of course elves! (it's kind of like saying immortality vs. mortality)

Elves vs. Hobbits
Elves. (Elves take on more of my personality than hobbits)

Elves vs. Dwarves
This is a tough one, since I like both, but elves win again.

Elves vs. Ents
Ditto with JT. Ents beat all.

Humans vs. Hobbits
Tough one. I would have to go with Hobbits.

Humans vs. Dwarves
I would have to say humans on this one.

Humans vs. Ents
No comparison. Ents are the coolest of all creatures.

Hobbits vs. dwarves
Hobbits. I don't like the dwarves.'

Hobbits vs. ents
Are you kidding me? This is not even a challenge anymore.

Ents vs. Dwarves
You already know what I am going to say.

Arwen vs. Eowyn
Eowyn is basically not afraid of anything, while Arwen is a girly girl. Have to go with Eowyn.

Aragorn vs. Legolas
This is the toughest of them all, but I have to go with my favorite character - Aragorn.

Arwen vs. Aragorn
Aragorn, hands down.

Frodo vs. Sam
Frodo. My second favorite character in the books and movies. Sam is the best of all friends, but Frodo had to persevere with taking the Ring to Mordor. Have to give it to Frodo.

Merry vs. Pippin
This is a tough one. I like both of them very much, but Pippin took the Palantir; when Merry tried to stop him. Have to go with Merry.

Elrond vs. Galadriel
Galadriel, hands down.

Faramir vs. Boromir
Faramir, just cause I like him more. (Ditto JT's exact words - those are JT's exacts words).

Eowyn vs. Eomer
Sister vs. Brother. Since Eowyn isn't afraid of anything, I have to go with her over her brother.

Sauron vs. Saruman.
What kind of question is this? Sauron would kill Saruman in a heartbeat.

Rivendell vs. Lothlorien
Lothlorien is more beautiful in my opinion.

Gondor vs. Rohan
The city of Gondor is more manlier than Rohan. Have to go with Gondor.

Well, I hope that you liked this LOTR's tag. It was a bit different, but fun.

I tag anyone else who wants to do it.

It's fun reading your answers, Joshua. I would do this tag, except I haven't seen the movies, and have not been able to read the books. Many times I have tried to read the books, but have not been able to get into them. But thanks for sharing. :)

In Christ,

I found your blog through JT's and It is very encouraging to 'meet' another Christian. I love the scripture verses on the sides! I am following!

Amen! LoTR's are the best movies! I have been watching them with my two brothers lately, and they never get boring, no matter how many times you view them!
