This was one of those songs that I happened to buy on I-tunes for 69 cents last month. I try to go cheap as often as I can, because some of the songs on I-tunes now are a buck twenty-nine. But, I have to say...... this song was a steal for 69 cents. If you have ever heard of the band Sidewalk Prophets, you probably already know the ins and outs of this song. However, this song is specifically aimed at surrendering our all to the Lord. He can have us no matter the cost. The bridge goes something like this, "I wanna be where you are, I'm runnin' into your arms, and I will never look back, so Jesus here is my heart." But, the astounding thing is is that these guys play the bridge with maximum enthusiasm and passion. It is a great song to listen too, but most of all the song displays the greatness of Christ in knowing Him as our sole purpose of giving all of ourselves to Him for the ultimate aim of magnifying Him with our lives (key word) as the one and only true King of the universe. You will definitely be encouraged when you listen to this song.
The lyrics are a part of the video, so I won't add them to this post.
I am going to begin a new journey on my blog. Each and every first of the month, I will post a song that has impacted me in some way or the other in the previous month. The first song to join the song of the month fold is Beautiful Lord, written by: Leeland and Marc Byrd. This song is absolutely majestic. Every time I listen to this song, I am completely amazed and astoundingly awed over God's majestic attributes. His attributes is what makes Him beautiful. His love, mercy, grace, holiness, awesomeness, majesty, sovereignty. Each one displays how beautiful He is. That is the essence of this song. In these posts, I will post the lyrics of the song and a video of the song. The song will also be placed on my playlist at the bottom of this blog. So, enjoy Beautiful Lord and be astounded at the vast beauty of our Lord:
When the storm is raging all around me You are the peace that calms My troubled sea And when the cares of this world Darken my day You are the light that shines And shows me the way
Oh, the beauty of Your majesty On the cross You showed Your love for me!
Beautiful Lord Awesome and mighty I'm captured by this love I see Beautiful Lord Tender and holy Your mercy brings me to my knees It's Your mercy that has made me free Beautiful Lord
When my sin is all that I can see Your grace remains the shelter that I seek And when my weakness is all I can give Your gentle Spirit gives me strength again And oh, the beauty of Your majesty On the cross You showed Your love for me
And I am lifted by Your love to sing! It's Your mercy that has made me free!
You're beautiful, my Lord You're beautiful, my Lord
