The Indestructible Word of God

As I said in my last post, I was going to post a post on a paper that I wrote in my senior year of high school. First off, I am not trying to prove anything in this paper. This paper was written for my enjoyment to show the infallibility of Scripture through Scripture alone and through a couple of dead unbelievers. It is a pretty interesting paper and I think that you all will enjoy it. Here it is:

The Indestructible Word of God

The Bible is the most important book in the entire world and it is under attack everyday. Skeptics are ignorant of it, infidels despise it, and liberals trash it. The unseen forces of evil and even some human beings want to demolish the Bible off the face of the earth. Others love it and hold fast to its astounding truths. Is the Bible reliable or is it just an untrustworthy source of fairy tales? Is this book indestructible or is it a book that can be destroyed? These are two significant questions that provide us with simple, but concrete answers.

First of all, is the Bible reliable or is it an untrustworthy source of fairy tales? The Bible easily provides answers to both of those questions in 2 Timothy 3:16. That verse states that: "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." 2 Timothy 3:16 clearly says that ALL scripture was inspired by God. The end result of the matter provides overwhelming evidence for the reliability of Scripture through Scripture alone. The Bible can clearly be trusted as a reliable source, not as a book of fairy tales. Overall, it is truly amazing to be able to fully trust the Scriptures as God's infallible, inerrant Word.

Finally, is the Bible an indestructible book or is it a book that can be destroyed? This question is easily answered by two dead unbelievers, who made it their life's mission to destroy the Bible. However, their plans failed miserably resulting in humorous effects. Voltaire, the French philosopher, in 1776 said, "100 years from my day, there will not be a Bible in the earth except one that is in a museum." Voltaire should have held his tongue because a hundred years later; Voltaire's home was used to store Bibles and to distribute them all over Europe. Again, Voltaire made a foolish comment, "It took twelve men to start Christianity; one will destroy it." Voltaire died that same exact year. Wow! God is not mocked (Galatians 6:7). Also, another man named Robert Ingersoll said, "In fifteen years, I will have this book (Bible) in the morgue." Fifteen years later, Ingersoll was in the morgue. God definitely has an incredible sense of humor and an extreme protection over His Word.

God's amazing Word is truly reliable and indestructible. Isaiah 40:8 says, "The grass withers, the flower falls off, but the Word of our God will stand forever." All in all, the Bible is and will always be God's wonderful words of light that continues to illuminate the hearts of unregenerate sinners and refreshes the hearts of His true followers.

His Word can fully be trusted. Sola Deo Gloria!!!!

I am back on the road to health!

Sorry for not posting in a loooooonnnnggggg time. :) It seems like a long time and the excuses I have for not posting is that I have been sick this past week and school has been top priority. Basically, on Saturday morning, I felt extremely nauseous. I won't go into extreme details because it was that bad, but I do have to say that I have never thrown up 4 times in a single day. Never have, which made it my first and hopefully last time. After I threw up the fourth time, I was thinking constantly about heaven. Why is God not taking me home now? I feel absolutely awful and I don't feel like living another day, but once the throwing up subsided, I had a new fire to stay alive. My whole world was not falling apart and I am thankful for the life that God has given me to be used for His glory and honor. So with that said, I am feeling much better and thank you all for your prayers. :)

I also need to catch up on a few Saturday Did you Know posts. It is my fault for not keeping my commitment of writing one concrete fact every Saturday and I am to blame. It is not like I am running out of facts. I have enough facts stored up in my brain for the next 500 Did you know Saturday posts. I am not kidding about that either. My Biology teacher keeps giving me new ideas each Monday and Wednesday even though she believes in evolution. It is a fascinating world. So, what I am going to do then is this..... I wrote this paper on the Word of God in my senior year of high school (technically two years ago). It is a humorous example of God's divine protection over His word. I am going to post that paper that I wrote in the next day or two to make up for the past Did you know posts that I missed. I think that you all will greatly enjoy this paper, because I definitely enjoyed reading it again, but I guess that does not mean anything, so pick your poison.

One other thing. If you could please be praying for me as well for a paper that I am about to write for my English class about the abortion issue. This issue is extremely significant to me and I pray that my paper would be used to touch the students in my classroom in some form or another. Thank you. I appreciate it. :)

Sola Deo Gloria!!!!
